As COO he will join the company’s leadership team, guiding the massive growth the company expects over the next few years. “Caduceus is on track to grow by early next year to over $700 million in client collections and within the next 48 months should pass the $1 billion mark,” said James Bonomo, CaduceusHealth® Chief Executive Officer.

I know from the provider side how difficult it is to run those businesses. To deal with billing and physicians and all of the software and hardware – it’s a nightmare and hospitals are looking to outsource this

The timing was right to join Caduceus, Knaggs said, and the opportunity vast as the company undergoes tremendous growth under its unique partnership with athenahealth, unlocking the potential in the current healthcare environment. “I know from the provider side how difficult it is to run those businesses. To deal with billing and physicians and all of the software and hardware – it’s a nightmare and hospitals are looking to outsource this,” Knaggs said. CaduceusHealth® delivers clarity and organization to the business side of healthcare.

Knaggs brings with him over 15 years of leadership and strategic planning experience in the healthcare industry. He joins CaduceusHealth® from Trinitas Regional Medical Center, an independent 500-bed teaching medical center in Elizabeth, N.J. As chief strategy officer at Trinitas, Knaggs worked with executive leadership and the board of trustees to develop and implement strategic and business plans that improved profitability and repositioned the hospital operations, rebuilding the medical staff, restructuring physician contracts, implementing a new EMR system and creating a magazine and public materials to support the medical center’s innovation, marketing and fundraising. Prior to Trinitas, Knaggs was director of business development and physician relations at Overlook Hospital where he partnered with the president to increase revenue through recruitment of over 300 physicians and new clinical programs.

How do we harness our internal talent and develop it quickly so that the folks that are really good know that there is a future with the company? We want to invest in them and make sure we have a way to keep them
— Grant Knaggs

As COO at CaduceusHealth®, Knaggs will focus on growth of the operation and expanding the staff. “Given the growth we are going through right now, we are going to need a lot of employees in the short term,” he said. Caduceus currently supports clients in 23 states servicing over 400 medical practices. Knaggs looks to improve efficiencies and grow staff within two years, providing support from the Jersey City, N.J. headquarters, offices in Easton, Pennsylvania, as well as staffing on site at client locations throughout the country.

“How do we harness our internal talent and develop it quickly so that the folks that are really good know that there is a future with the company? We want to invest in them and make sure we have a way to keep them,” Knaggs said.
